Kiamal Solar Farm

Kiamal Solar Farm is located in north-west Victoria, approximately 3 km north of the township of Ouyen. Comprising over 718,000 panels mounted on single-axis trackers, the project is capable of generating enough power to supply over 133,500 homes annually.

When TechSafe initially commenced services at Kiamal, our inspectors confirmed significant non-compliances against Victorian regulations and Australian standards. Upon Beon Energy undertaking installation and rectification works, TechSafe continued to be engaged to provide inspection services of PV array and associated wiring & control systems. Our inspectors conducted VLF testing, earth testing and inspection of combiner boxes, PCU’s and HV feeders. All inspections were conducted to confirm compliance with the Victorian Electrical Safety Act 1998 and AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, AS 4777.1 & AS/NZS 5033.

Now operational, Kiamal is the largest solar farm in Victoria.
