Stockyard Hill Wind Farm

The farm consists of 149 turbines of various sizes for a total nameplate rating of 530MW.  Once operational this farm will be Australia’s largest.

TechSafe Australia are engaged to provide inspection services of Wind towers, tower transformers, HV substations and yards and all associated wiring & control systems. Our inspectors conducted verification of HV testing, earth grid verification, plant operation procedures, all required documentation and site inspection services.  All inspections are conducted to confirm compliance with the Victorian Electrical Safety Act 1998 and AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067.

TechSafe Australia assisted our client in ensuring compliance of short circuit protection of generator cables, protection of/from fauna and compliance of transformers incorporated within wind towers. Our inspectors have also responded to general compliance queries and assisted the client in navigating the requirements of the state regulator. This enabled the client to deliver the towers as designed with only minor adjustments which eliminated substantial rectification costs.
